Sidi Genius 6.6 Carbon Lite Mega Road Cycling Shoes: New for 2010, the Sidi Genius 6.6 Mega features the new Carbon Lite Sole with the upper part of the shoe made from Lorica. The shoe is properly shaped and proportioned for riders with high arches, wide or high-volume feet. Sidi shoes have always been designed to achieve the perfect fit possible and this shoe is properly shaped and proportioned for larger feet. Lorica: Lorica is a Hi-Tech leather made from the most sophisticated technology. Lorica is a combination of the finest micro-fibres ever produced. It is water-repellent, permeable to water vapour and resistant to tearing, splitting, scratching and atmospheric agents. It has a good air-breathing capacity. Lorica offers exceptional performances and guarantees to the user extraordinary softness and elegance. Soft Instep Closure System: The wide, anatomical and padded strap has been reduced and coupled to soft, thermoformed material increasing comfort and performance. It distributes pressure evenly over the arch area, adjustable from both sides for perfect centering. The system elimates the need for the High Instep Extender. Used with SL and Caliper buckle straps, which are serviceable and replaceable. Caliper Buckle: The micrometric closure called Caliper buckle is regulated by lifting the central buckle. In order to completely open, lift together both sides buckles, while to slightly loosen the closure during the race the central clip must be pushed down. High Security Velcro: The high security straps with integrated locking polymer teeth engage onto each other when the strap is closed. This feature makes the closure more secure and the strap becomes unmoveable. Heel Cup System (HCS): For cyclists with a thin ankle - Sidi has though of you. Created and patented: a mechanism that tightens the top of the heel cup so that it doesn't slip during steep climbs or sprints. Made from thermoplastic, it can be easily replaced or removed, just remove the black button and unscrew the screw.
